SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND...

Oh Yeah!

This week we are getting excited about SHINE! Shine is an ah-mazing women's conference that me and Lauren's church puts on every year for women. It's a time where we are bombarded with reminders that we are the twinkle in GOD's eye! It's a beautiful time.

Wearing Your Faux Fur

Fur in it's self is a statement. You're basically telling everyone that you are confident, you are sure, you are a little wild, and YOU-ARE-HERE!

You can basically find fur for any budget so just take some time to do some research if you are looking for real fur or take a trip to some of your local thrift stores to find some fur...even real one's for waaaaaay less then you'd pay for a brand new!

However, when you find one you'll want to know how you should style it. We'll I've put together some ideas for you with items from my own closet...

Ladies, you can find faux fur at any price point. During this time of year every women's boutique is selling fur. Shop your local thrift stores as well for vintage fur. It's getting cold outside

Happy Monday Everyone!

Did you have a wonderful weekend? I am putting this post together real quick before I head out the door for another dreaded vet visit - living at the vet lately but maybe more of that in a different post.

Today is Re-Creation Monday and what I would like to believe is the basis of what our blog is about - "Re-Creating outfits for Pennies".

We found today's look over at Kitties and Couture.  Although she doesn't give you pricing for her outfit she does tell you where she bought most of her items and looks like this one is almost all Zara.  I  love me some Zara but your budget can be blown fast when shopping at a retail store which is why we recreated this outfit for Pennies.

Pennies and Recreation outfit:
Fur Vest = H&M (old) but if I remember correctly it was under $20! That's a steal for anything fur.
Checker shirt = Thrift Store $1.25
Scarf  = Forever 21 gift from hubby
Jeans = Rock & Republic found at local thrift for $3.99
Boots = Forever 21 gift from hubby
Lipstick = MAC - Girl about Town (my favorite!!)

This outfit minus the shoes was under $30 and how cute is this for winter/fall weather!
