Horizontal & Vertical ReCreation

Today - not only do we announce the winner of the free closet make-over (must read down more to find out who!) but it also a look at our first ReCreation!  We are so excited to share with you the look, photos and where we found each item. 

For this ReCreation, we had the beautiful and stunning Carissa come and model for us. Carissa is beautiful inside and out!  She made this photo shoot so much fun.  Every pose caused us to say "Wow" and "That's it - you  nailed it!"  We were honestly in awe of how much of a natural she was at being in front of the camera.  So a BIG thank you to our guest model Carissa - we couldn't have done it without you.
So now on to the Recreation... drum roll please........

Our Recreation look comes from the blog Happily Grey.  First off, I love her blog.  Whenever my email subscription comes in from her blog, I stop what I am doing and see what she is wearing that day.  She is spot on every single time.  Total Style Inspiration!  Which is why it was a must to try and ReCreate one of her looks from the blog.  Her outfit is from her "Drowning Plaids" post.  Our goal with recreating the look was to find similar items at thrift stores, therefore, recreating the look for much less. We want our readers to see how easy it is to dress like all the fashion bloggers out there and to be able to afford to do it!
On the Right is the Happily Grey outfit. Plaid shirt, the vest was old from GAP, Shorts were Urban Outfitters (similar here).
On the Left is Carissa and the ReCreated look!  The Shirt was a thrift store find in Dallas = no more than $3, Vest was a thrift store find in Dallas = no more than $3, the cut off shorts are a pair of Silver Jeans that I cut to make shorts.  I found the Silver Jeans at a local thrift store = no more than $3.  Sorry I don't have exact pricing but some of these items I have had a while now.  Since we started the blog, we are now logging all the prices that we are currently paying to help with future recreations.

Gold Bangle on right = Gift from friend who found it in New Mexico

Wooden Bangles on left = for all 4 they were $2 at Salvation Army
